Restaurante Otelo
• Since 1988 •The Dorante family opened the doors of their restaurant, Otelo, in 1988. Located at the entrance to the ravine of hell, the second most visited natural site on the island, it has managed to combine the excellence of Canarian cuisine and the friendly treatment with the clients who repeat their visits in an assiduous way to this enclave.
Specifically, he was a friend of the family who taught Ana, the wife of “Paco, the Ignacia” (owners of the restaurant), the recipes of the star dishes in his menu, the famous chicken shack and the exquisite rabbit with salmorejo sauce.
There are many tour operators, hotel managers, businessmen… who, in addition to being regular customers, send numerous groups given the excellent quality-price ratio. Thus the clients who soon become friends of the house have awarded with their votes two important awards to this restaurant:
International Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy Trophy (Editorial Oficce) in 2001 and 2003. Granted thanks to the surveys carried out by the tour operators in their groups arrived in the south of Tenerife.
Famous as the guitarist of the late Queen group, Brian May or the well-known broadcaster and television presenter Constantino Romero, they have enjoyed the good cuisine of Otelo restaurant and the familiar treatment of its staff.
In 1998 the company opened a new restaurant in Playa de Fañabé, Costa Adeje, with Juan Dorante at the front.
In these years they have managed to gain the trust and appreciation of many customers-friends who often visit the premises.
